New Album by Jacob Bullard
I slipped down to Holland, Michigan for a few days while Jacob was recording 3 new songs for a new EP called "Grownin' Seed." We recorded the beautiful chapel on the campus of Hope College, a place where the sights were as beautiful as the sounds. Every inch of the chapel was used, from the lofty auditorium to the space in the basement where the furnace works hard to heat the structure.
The animation of the hand and the "Growin' Seed" logo were both created by Jacob down in Grand Rapids with a Number 2 Pencil and composited in atop the footage in Final Cut Pro. Normally I do my color in an external program, but with the black and white I was able to get the look I desired all within Final Cut using the 3 Way Color Corrector. All of the ingredients for the film where created for this piece by us, even the composites and the light leaks were produced for this piece using the Canon 60D and some custom lens systems.
Enjoy!
