Great news! One of Eleven35's submissions to the Traverse City Film Festival's Trailer Contest was selected as a winner and will be shown in all its glory before movie goers all throughout the week of the film festival! There were about 50 submissions, two of which were from Eleven35. But our video, Bay Awareness Group, was apparently the judges favorite between our two submissions, the less fortunate film child being a non traditional montage we named All Is Well.
So, to get Bay Awareness Group ready for the big screen, we ran it through some last minute toning and color processing to make sure it was looking its best. I've decided to re-upload the more "colorful" version, and it can be seen at the bottom of this post. The Film Festival begins TODAY, so that means that people will be receiving their education concerning Grand Traverse bay by the multitudes, starting in about 15 minutes. Oh sweet, sweet victory.
If there is a moral to the story, it's this: Superimpose picket signs onto brooms and mops that you've talked your friends into proudly hold high next to the busiest intersection you can find, and you will have success in all your endeavors.
I plan on attending my share of films this week, starting tomorrow, and really hope you have the chance to as well. But if not, don't worry, the Bay Awareness video is available for viewing just below. It's not the same, I know, but it's the best I can do. So I want to say thanks to the TCFF, all the judges, the FIM Group, all my friends and family who helped produce Bay Awareness Group, Jacob Bullard, Matthew Bouwense, Ben Pina, Grant Floering, John Morris, Emma Burger, Allie Cole, Gretchen Baldwin, and Sennheiser for making mics that still work even after accidentally dousing them with a bucket of water.
